TO PRAY AND FAST FOR…

1. OUR CITY
> Approximately 2 million ppl live in Brisbane
> At least 1.6 million of these ppl are heading for a Christ-less eternity
> We are praying and fasting for the spiritually lost people of Brisbane

2. OUR CHURCHES
> In 1950, 44% of Australians attended church at least once/mth
> Today, that figure has dropped to 19%
> But even if your church grew to 10 times its current size, it wouldn’t even make a dent on Brisbane
> Brisbane needs an aggressive church planting movement
> We need 100 churches in every suburb in Brisbane to reach Brisbane
> We are praying and fasting for every church in Brisbane

3. OUR HEARTS
> Approximately 50% of those in church have still not got hold of God’s extravagant grace
> When are we going to stop believing that our commitment, our consistency, our faithfulness, our religious acts or even our good intentions will get us into heaven? OUR COMMITMENT MEANS NOTHING!!! Jesus saves those who are broken over their sin and cry out to him to save them and transform them (c.f. LUKE 18:9-14).
> Its time for us to declare our spiritual bankruptcy
> Its time for us to appeal to God’s mercy and not our righteousness
> We are praying and fasting for God to break our hearts
